The securities of Eduspec Holdings Berhad were heavily traded on 15 May 2018 as traders focused plays on counters linked to personalities associated with the leadership of Pakatan Harapan who emerged as the victor in the recently concluded General Election. Tan Sri Mokhzani Mahathir’s Kencana Capital Sdn Bhd is one of the top shareholders in Eduspec with a stake of 3.7%. The mother share of Eduspec surged as much as 90% on 15 May to 18 sen before closing at 12.5 sen for a rise of 32%. The volume traded was a staggering 116.2 million shares. The out-of-money company warrant of Eduspec, EDUSPEC-WA closed 20% higher at 3 sen on the same day.
