GOCEAN-WA: Entry of New Shareholder to Revive Company’s Fortune

The share price of Green Ocean Corporation Berhad (Green Ocean) had been declining for the most part of last 52 weeks before the company undertook a private placement exercise of 30% of the paid-up capital of the company in July 2014. The private placement was implemented to facilitate the entry of its Managing Director Dato’ Frankie Tan See Meng, which was appointed late last year, as a new substantial shareholder of the company. Dato’ Tan emerged as a substantial shareholder of the company in early July after subscribing for 40.5 million shares representing 15.4% of the enlarged paid-up capital of the company. Shortly after the completion of the private placement exercise at 11 sen per share, Green Ocean implemented a free warrant issue to its shareholders. GOCEAN-WA made its debut on Bursa Malaysia on 18 August 2014.

INARI Structured Warrants Good Instrument to Ride on the Underlying Stock

Inari Amertron Berhad (Inari) has been one of the best performing stocks on Bursa Malaysia over the last few years with its share price rising close to 10 times over the period. Despite such high growth, many brokers are still calling a BUY on the company with even higher price targets. There are two structured call warrants and a company warrant for punters to choose from should they wish to continue to have a leverage instrument to continue ride the growth of the stock.

EFORCE-WA : Profit Taking Dampens Warrant Price

The warrant of online trading software company Excel Force MSC Berhad (EFORCE-WA) made its debut on Bursa Malaysia on 24 July.  EFORCE-WA traded as high as 33 sen on the first day of trade before profit taking on this bonus warrant by shareholders who got it for free took the price down to 28 sen at the close of trading on 6 August.

Proposed Name Change to Spur Interest of Formis Resources?

The share price of Formis Resources Berhad has been trading within a relatively modest range of between 70 sen and 85 sen over the last few months.  The more active of the company’s two warrants, FRB-WA was also bouncing between 15 sen to 20 sen during this period.  Even the announcement by the company on 30 May of a substantial turnaround in financial performance had little impact on the share price.  Nevertheless, the company recently proposed a name change to “Omesti Berhad”.  This is subject to shareholders’ approval in the company’s upcoming Annual General Meeting.

ABLEGRP-WA: Buying Directly Into Mother A Better Option

Marble and granite supplier Ablegroup Berhad has begun to attract some trading interest recently as investors’ interest spread into lower liners.  From below a million shares traded most of the time, Ablegroup shares were actively traded on 15 July with more than 8.3 million shares changing hand.  Ablegroup ended trading that day at 14.5 sen while its warrant ABLEGRP-WA closed at 7.5 sen.
